WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Disaster Case Manager Supervisor is an exempt position responsible for working directly with seniors affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The position assists them in navigating the recovery process by identifying their needs, coordinating services, and implementing and monitoring service delivery.
Supervisor Responsibilities
- Day-to-day supervision of the disaster case managers in accordance with requirements as established by funding sources, including staff recruitment, meetings, and training.
- Supervise personnel in the field through individual conferences and timely evaluation of employees’ performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assign clients to case managers as needed.
- Client contacts regarding support services, including resolution of service delivery problems as required.
- Provide information and referral for appropriate ancillary support services as needed.
- Provide training to case managers as needed.
- Assist with disaster case management caseloads as needed.
- In the absence of a disaster case manager, coordinate case management and support services as needed.
- Assist with identifying and vetting contractors/vendors as needed.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of case management services, including client contacts and documentation.
- Complete required reports as assigned, including outcome measure reports and narrative reports as required by the funding agency.
- Coordinate services with approved contracts and vendors for the timely completion of repair project costs as needed.
- Ensure concise and timely completion of all documentation according to contract requirements, including entering all case activities into the electronic health records system within the required time standards.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- High school diploma with three (3) or more years of professional progressive case management experience in the field of human services
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- A minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience is preferred.
- Must have 701B Certification or complete 701B Certification training within the first 30 days of employment.
- Considerable knowledge of community organizations and resources.
- Ability to communicate effectively, including within a supervisory environment.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Knowledge of disaster recovery resources, eligibility criteria, and application processes at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Understanding of the psychological impact of disasters and the ability to provide empathetic support.
- Excellent organizational skills and effective time management skills with attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to lift and/or carry case files, office supplies, donations, etc., up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to work under stressful situations and adapt to change.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
- Must have a valid driver's license with auto insurance coverage
