Program Manager

Location: Tampa, FL

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Program Manager is an exempt position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Family Care and Wellness Program.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and assist in recruitment, supervision, training, and evaluation of program staff.
  • Maintain and document monthly supervision/training of program staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide case and crisis management supervision to staff.
  • Evaluate appropriateness of referrals and assign to staff.
  • Provide quality control while ensuring contractual requirements are met.
  • Attend meetings and serve as a liaison for assigned programs with community partners and stakeholders.
  • Provide modeling, training, and professional skill development to program employees.
  • Provide on-call services in accordance with the program's on-call procedure and as required by the contract scope.
  • Maintain program financials and budget oversight.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or related area of study required
  • Minimum two (2) years of management experience in human services.
    • Master’s degree in social work or related area of study preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, demonstrating strong verbal and written skills.
  • Public speaking is required to bring awareness and/or market the program in the community.
  • Knowledge of child development, including physical, mental, emotional, and cultural information.
  • Ability to flexibly deal with clients, volunteers, other community agencies serving shared populations, and peers professionally and courteously.
  • Must attend relevant skills-enhancement training and demonstrate required program-specific knowledge.
  • Ability to work under stressful client situations.
  • Potential exposure to clients who may be physically and/or verbally aggressive.
  • Potential exposure to communicable diseases
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Ability to lift and carry case files, activity supplies, donations, etc., up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work in the field at any given time throughout the year
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Ability to travel within the state of Florida.
  • Use a personal vehicle to transport clients when necessary.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with auto insurance coverage.
