WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Homemaker is a non-exempt position responsible for the maintenance and management of assigned clients’ homes, including but not limited to, performing homemaker functions and assistance with assigned housekeeping tasks. The primary goal of this position is to help the elderly and disabled in the Pinellas County area to remain living independently in their chosen home environment and avoid premature nursing home placement. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in household management tasks such as grocery shopping, cooking, reading mail, paying bills, and errands
• Complete light home maintenance tasks such as house cleaning, laundry, trash removal, vacuuming and dusting
• Assist Clients with transportation to doctor's appointments where necessary
• Provide written reports of client contact and services rendered
• Provide companionship to elderly clients when required
• Perform all other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• No minimum education required, however, experience working with the elderly or disabled and household maintenance and management, highly preferred
• Must pass Level II background screening.
• Must have a valid drivers' license and proof of auto insurance coverage.
