Quality Improvement and Compliance Specialist

Location: Kissimmee, FL

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Quality and Compliance Specialist is an exempt position responsible for monitoring and evaluating program compliance with a high-risk client population. This position works closely with the Director, Supervisors and Funder with a focus on safety measures and compliance of state regulations.

  • Conduct quality program reviews
  • Prepare monitoring reports
  • Assist and support programs to identify areas of needed improvement, best practices and funder outcomes
  • Conduct special file reviews and prepare reports in response to critical occurrences
  • Conduct focused audits as needed
  • Ensure Corrective Action Plans, external and internal, are developed and submitted; monitor the process to ensure completion of the corrective action plan
  • Review all significant incidents and recommend corrective actions
  • Monitor compliance with accreditation, standards and regulations that are required by the agency and assigned programs
  • Update program tool as required in response to contract or statute changes
  • Assist the Director in funder related activities including audits and meetings
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a human services field or other related studies
  • Two (2) years’ experience working with Children and Families in a social services setting, preferably in child welfare
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and other software systems and database
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Must have a valid drivers' license with auto insurance coverage
