WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Director of Corporate and Community Engagement is an exempt position responsible for expanding philanthropic and volunteer support for Gulf Coast JFCS. Reporting to the Vice President for Philanthropy, the Director of Corporate and Community Engagement facilitates meaningful engagement and support from local and national companies, foundations, synagogues, churches, civic and community organizations, and other partners to benefit Gulf Coast JFCS programs. This individual is responsible for growing, managing, cultivating, and stewarding a portfolio of partners to strong, mission-aligned, and mutually beneficial relationships.
Corporate Support and Engagement
- Introduce and grow engagement with local businesses and companies through volunteer and philanthropic support.
- Create a priority list of businesses, corporations, and strategic connections to elevate introductions at the highest level of the organization.
- Customize as needed, appealing promotional materials.
- Curate volunteer engagement opportunities as needed to meet Gulf Coast JFCS and local company or business preferences for volunteer involvement.
- Assist the Vice President of Philanthropy in expanding Business/Corporate engagement, as evidenced by additional volunteer and philanthropic support from more local businesses.
- Monitor progress toward goals and benchmarks and adapt efforts as needed.
Program Development
- Collaborate with program directors and senior leadership to identify/curate meaningful volunteer engagement opportunities, including various roles and duties, and the required level of background screening.
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Philanthropy, program directors, and senior leadership to identify attractive sponsorship and funding opportunities for companies and other groups wanting to direct their support.
- Create clear, compelling promotional and presentation materials to launch the program and convey the value of volunteer engagement.
- Identify priority prospects for outreach and build an outreach plan, timeline, and benchmarks.
Donor Renewal and Stewardship
- Increase donor retention and overall dollars raised.
- Collaborate with Marketing to build content and produce visually appealing, donor-centric donor stewardship updates.
- Support hosting community receptions for both existing and potential new donors to Gulf Coast JFCS, in coordination with the VP of Philanthropy.
- Lead the cultivation and stewardship of mid-major (<$25k) corporate relationships, including reporting, meeting preparation, knowledge management, and proposal preparation and execution; support five and six-figure corporate relationships in partnership with the VP of Philanthropy and key relationship holders.
- Identify potential new corporate partnerships, both local and across the country, including emerging markets, working to grow the pipeline of donors in alignment with Gulf Coast JFCS's mission and values.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of corporate/foundation relations, fundraising, or other aligned experience.
- Experience writing campaign letters, appeals, case for support, and stewardship reports.
- Demonstrated experience with donor outreach, including solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship.
- Experience in the strategic planning, implementation, and management of fundraising campaigns.
- Expertise in the areas of national and/or local corporate sponsorships, social media, and promotion.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Motivated, strategic thinker and persuasive communicator.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proficient with multi-tasking and time management.
- Ability to influence others toward outcomes through people-first relationship management.
- Proven record of effective partnering with volunteers and leading volunteer committees.
- Familiarity working in a donor CRM database such as Raiser's Edge.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites, to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- Ability to lift and/or carry case files, activity supplies, donations, etc., up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with auto insurance coverage
