WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Program Therapist is an exempt position responsible for clinical programming of the Adult Residential Treatment and Stabilization (ARTS) Program, including, but not limited to, client well-being. The position will coordinate the overall delivery of psychosocial rehabilitation services related to client treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group services to ARTS residents.
- Complete biopsychosocial assessments of ARTS clients after admission to develop an initial treatment plan, begin individualized therapy, and begin discharge planning.
- Oversee treatment of ARTS clients; review and update treatment plans, observation frequencies, and case staffing to include input from multidisciplinary team (Therapist, LPN, MHT, Psychiatric Healthcare Provider, Case Management, and Program Director as needed).
- Maintain ongoing awareness of client’s whereabouts, including outings, weekend passes, medical appointments, etc.
- Maintain concise and timely completion of all paperwork or clinical documentation utilizing the agency Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, including but not limited to, progress notes, treatment plans, and summaries for external providers.
- Engage clients in supportive activities to strengthen skills and progress towards their discharge goals, including setting up life skills activities with master's level interns, encouraging healthy activities of daily living (ADL), and facilitating monthly community meetings.
- Attend and assist with monthly staff meetings and funder meetings when required.
- Assist with responding to emergencies and provide crisis intervention.
- Perform all other duties assigned by the Program Director.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Master’s degree in counseling-related field from accredited school.
- Florida Registered Intern License preferred.
- Working knowledge of community organizations and resources.
- Will be trained on emergency medical procedures CPR and Basic Health Needs within first 90 days of employment.
- Will be required to provide proof of certification in CPR, HIV, and First-Aid within 90 days of hire.
- General understanding of mental health practices and working knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5).
- Experience working with adults living with severe and persistent mental illness and/or substance abuse issues within a residential program is preferred.
- Knowledge of social and emotional problems of adults with forensic involvement.
- Knowledge of Co-Occurring Treatment competency.
- Working knowledge of community organizations and resources.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and Electronic Medical Records.
- Flexible work schedule in the office.
- Ability to work overtime when required to complete all necessary job tasks.
- Ability to lift and/or carry supplies, files, etc., up to 25 lbs. and assist in lifting clients when needed.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move frequently around a large property for prolonged periods of time.
- Must have a valid driver's license with auto insurance coverage
