WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Paralegal is a non-exempt position responsible for assisting clients, providing clerical and research support services.
- Meets with clients to gain insight into what they need to include in the documents for their assigned case (s).
- Assists clients in gathering and drafting the necessary legal documents for their case/cases
- Meets with or speaks to clients and helps them understand how their in-person court date may proceed, and informs them of possible outcomes.
- Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files for paralegal records, and assist clients in maintaining organized personal files.
- Assists clients in learning and preparation techniques for their case/cases.
- Develops personal technique to keep a record of all cases worked on.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

- Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm or 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

WHAT YOU NEED:
- High School diploma or equivalent, plus two (2) years of professional experience, executing and understanding legal language and principles, research methods, court proceedings and processes, and other related matters in accordance with the Florida Law.
- Associate's degree in paralegal studies or related field, preferred.
- Or a Certified Paralegal in the State of Florida, highly preferred.
- Knowledge of community resources and organizations

- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites or related software
- Potential exposure to a stressful environment involving difficult client situations
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to lift and/or carry supplies, files, etc., up to 25 lbs
- Must have a valid driver's license with auto insurance coverage.
